Admittedly I’m a few days late so instead of “Tuesdays” with Dorie, for me this week it became Thursday with Dorie :) As the saying goes “better late than never”, right???… right! Tonight I wanted something sweet and of course the family is always in favor of chocolate so nearly as fast as I could’ve made a box mix, I whipped up Dorie’s recipe instead. These are chewy, ooey, gooey, fudgey brownies that totally deliver on the decadence-factor… and used only a single saucepan to make the batter. Not only is this recipe quick and easy… it’s delicious too :)

This week’s TwD hostesss was Lisa of the blog Surviving Oz and she chose Dorie’s recipe for Tribute-to-Katharine-Hepburn Brownies. I tried to stay rather true to the recipe but will admit to completely omitting the coffee and nuts altogether. Other than that, I did not stray :) There is very little flour in these brownies… and that contributes to their gooey-fudgey-ness (uh, that’s probably not a word, huh?)

If you’d like the recipe, it can be found on Lisa’s blog or on pages 96-97 in Dorie’s book Baking From My Home To Yours.
Have a delicious day!

So delicious and inviting!
Your brownies are absolutely gorgeous! These were too fudgy and gooey for me but everyone else who tried them really liked them. Glad you enjoyed them too!
In your photo you can clearly see their gooey-fudgy-ness! Like yourself I’m not about chocolate but geesh, those would be hard for even me to pass up!
Happy Friday, Em!

Beautiful as always…I may try these in the very near future!
Those look amazing, and beautiful photos!
I made these as my first attempt at a recipe from Dorrie’s book, which I just bought. They were so delicious I had to make two batches! and ate most of them…
