They say it never rains in Southern California… but that’s not really true. It’s actually raining right now as I compose this entry. After a few truly gorgeous days, the weather-gods decided to remind us about those April showers that are said to bring May flowers. I’m okay with that :) To counter the gray skies I thought I’d show off the rainbow brightness of this pedestal display platter… along with Flo Braker’s 24kt Cupcakes with Orange Cream Cheese Frosting. It may be cloudy, gray and rainy outside but I’m smilin’ on the inside because I have finally found my new go-to recipe for carrot cake. Insanely moist and incredibly delicious. Without a doubt and no question in my mind… this is it.    (more…)
